Scholarship Criteria
Must be a GEAR UP student
Must submit an Official Transcript
Must have a 3.0 or better GPA
Must have earned minimum of 20 GUAS Package Points
Must have excellent student attendance and excellent student school behavior
Must submit 3 Letters of Recommendation (from Teachers, Counselors or Principals)
Must submit College Intent Essay (no less than 300 words typed)
Must show improvement with the Pre-CPE and Post CPE Test Results

GEAR UP
Student Support Package
This year GEAR UP Program will offer our students an incentive package program of activities that will better prepare students for college as well as letting students earn gift certificates to their favorite social pleasures. The Student Support Package will help them learn and have fun.
All Program Activities must be verified with the Cohort School Coordinator and the ASCC GEAR UP Office.

| College Night | 2 pts per session, with parents 2 extra points |
| Scholarship Applications | 2 pts per each complete application |
| ASVAB Pre-Session | 5 pts (complete 4 week training session) |
| Pre-SAT English | 5 pts (complete 4 week training session) |
| Pre-SAT Math | 5 pts (complete 4 week training session) |
- For every 5 point earned students will receive a $5.00 gift certificate for:
Movie ticket, Carl’s Jr., McDonald, Blue Sky or ASTAC Phone Card.
